I Frank “Frankie K®” Kosteczko, didn’t grow up in a theater town, I never imagined myself on the big screen, nor did I get involved in Drama/Theatre Class or do plays in high school. It was a craft that I was unaware of or possibly that fire in my soul wasn’t lit yet. Some are born passionately about their life long dream of becoming an actor, but that was not me.

If I was to go back in time, in a time machine (as long as all the kinks were worked out *shrugs and smiles*) and was to tell the younger version of myself that “Hey bro, this is going to sound weird but I am the future you and in about five, six years you will realize one of your passions and purposes is to be a working actor in this life, to entertain and inspire through your talent.”

From commuting to NYC and Queens from New Paltz New York, for rehearsals, performance nights amongst background parts and auditions, I had a fire burning that I was on the path of my purpose in this life. The last short film project that I worked on with Robert Mountjoy, I acted alongside one of my favorite actors in film as a kid, Steve Gutenberg (from the Police Academy era, Three Men and A Baby etc.). At this moment, I was still learning and growing, I was overcoming the “anyone can act, I’m good, wait am I really good, I think I’m good” phase. Steve gave valuable information in between takes to me and while setting up blocking for the upcoming scenes. Not only did Gutenberg speak about the industry as a whole, but he was critiquing my character for the movie and what his thoughts and insights were, which was helpful and I was beyond grateful for that experience, but those morsels of information were ingrained in my brain, so from that day forward I wanted to read more, ask questions, listen more, wanted to absorb more information about acting and life in general each and everyday from that point forward. I took a hiatus to focus on my other passion, to build my clothing brand.

 I am back on the grind reading, learning and searching for an acting coach, I have my horse blinders on and I am ready for what is mine for the taking.
